Terror comes to quiet street as gunman opens fire in late night shooting

A gunman opened fire in a quiet residential street after a late night dispute turned into a dangerous confrontation. The attacker was part of a group of men who are thought to have approached a home in Battenburg Road, Bolton, at around 10.25pm on Thursday night.

After driving up to the house, a member of the group opened fire, with bullets ripping through a black Vauxhall Corsa parked outside.

It is thought that the attacker fired between 2-4 shots into the vehicle, smashing the front window as well as both passenger windows.
