THIS Morning has received more than a hundred Ofcom complaints after Dr Sara Kayat said the Oxford coronavirus vaccine was "100 per cent effective" against death.
But viewers insisted the claim, made as the show returned to screens earlier this month, was "scientifically untrue" and "deeply misleading".
Ofcom told The Sun it had received 156 complaints about the "factual basis" of the doctor's comments about the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.
Dr Sara said on 4 January: "After 12 days from the first vaccination of the AstraZeneca vaccine you are 100 per cent effectve against hospitalisation and death." She left host Phillip Schofield opened-mouthed with the claim, insisting that the news "should be shouted from the rooftops".
