A three-year-old Scots tot needed surgery after being bitten on the face by by an ownerless dog.The boy was rushed to hospital after he was pounced on by the Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog in Irvine on Thursday night.The dog who was without an owner approached the toddler in the North Ayrshire town's Leven Place, in the Castlepark area.The animal then tore into the boy's face leaving him with a horror facial wounds.
