Heartfelt tributes have flooded in for American Horror Stories star Gavin Creel following the shocking news of his passing on Monday at the age of 48.
Gavin, who was only diagnosed in July with a rare and aggressive type of cancer, passed away at his Manhattan home. His partner, Alex Temple Ward, shared that Gavin had been undergoing treatment for sarcoma, a cancer that forms in connective tissues such as bones, muscles, fat, nerves, and blood vessels.
The disease commonly affects the arms and legs. The actor had been receiving care at New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering before being transferred to hospice care at home, reports the Mirror.
Throughout his illustrious career, Gavin made a lasting impact on Broadway, earning a Tony Award nomination for his debut as a lead in the 2002 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.
