Some two million people in England currently shielding from coronavirus will not be able to visit their loved ones as part of the Government's new support bubble plan.
Boris Johnson announced this evening that two separate homes will be able to link up in some circumstances from Saturday onwards.
However the millions who are being 'shielded' due to specific conditions which mean they are at extreme risk from coronavirus will not be able to see their loved ones.
The Prime Minister said he could not allow anyone in this category to form a 'support bubble' due to their vulnerability to the virus.
