The UK could share "excess" vaccine doses with neighbouring and developing countries, a minister has confirmed - but refused to say when.
Trade Secretary Liz Truss said Britain cannot simply become a "vaccinated island" while Covid rages in other nations in the world.
But she resisted calls today to say when that help might arrive - and suggested it might only be the Autumn. The top Tory told Sky News "of course we first need to make sure our population is vaccinated".
Currently the whole British adult population is only set to finish getting first doses by September. Ms Truss offered a hand of friendship after a furious row between the UK and EU over supplies of the coronavirus jab.
