It’s going to be a chilly weekend with temperatures as as low as -3C while millions of Brits stay indoors to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Sub-zero temperatures overnight will mean parts of the country are set to wake up to frost, especially those living in rural areas.
The mercury will struggle to get into double figures for much of the weekend. But despite the relatively low temperatures, today will also bring clear skies and some sunshine, the Met Office says.
Most of the country will stay dry, with showers in the northeast and clouds across the southwest easing off overnight. However, millions of Brits will be unable to take advantage of the dry conditions as they stay indoors or self isolate.
