A vet has issued an urgent warning to dog and cat owners as the coronavirus pandemic continues to tighten its grip on the UK.
Dr Anne Fawcett, of the University of Sydney's School of Veterinary Science, has issued the plea as scientists now study the link between pets and Covid-19.
She said pet owners should use common sense from now on as the pandemic takes the global human death toll over 100,000 and Britain’s to near 10,000.
Her warning comes after two cats and two dogs tested positive for Covid-19. “Out of an abundance of caution, don't let anyone pat your dog,” she told the Herald Sun.
