Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has been hit with 712 more Ofcom complaints today following his fiery interview with Victoria Atkins. The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter didn't hold back during the explosive interview which saw him grill Minister Atkins for safeguarding.

The Minister was brought on the breakfast news show to talk about a domestic abuse bill, on the government’s provisions of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Following the interview, TV watchdog Ofcom confirmed to Metro.co.uk that it has received 712 complaints so far regarding the interview with Atkins.
