A woman has been rescued by a volunteer lifeboat crew after plummeting 20 feet from a cliff on the Fife coast. The RNLI Anstruther team were deployed to Elie Chain Walk, near Earlsferry, at around 4.15pm on Wednesday, May 20.
Volunteers on board the lifeboat discovered the woman who was laying motionless on the hard rocks when they arrived on the scene.
She had suffered injuries to both of her ankles in the fall. The team then transported her to the neighbouring Shell Bay, where she was then transferred to paramedics and coastguard teams for further assistance.
