Staff working for Stagecoach buses say they are being put at unnecessary risk of catching coronavirus. The worker, who asked to remain anonymous, said staff across Greater Manchester are "dropping like flies," as many have been forced to self-isolate with symptoms of COVID-19.
Stagecoach have scaled back bus services in response to the pandemic, but said they will "continue to play a crucial role" in ensuring key workers can get into work.
A spokesperson for the firm said all vehicles are going through an "enhanced cleaning regime" which is being "strictly adhered to." But staff have told the Manchester Evening News that no changes have been made to the firm's cleaning processes, since the outbreak of coronavirus began.
