Weekend of misery for residents as 200 ravers ignore lockdown to party on a field until the early hours

Frustrated residents were kept awake by 'at least 200' ravers partying on a field in Moston over the weekend. Hundreds of revellers were reported to have gathered on Broadhurst Fields off Moston Lane on Saturday and Sunday night.

Neighbours said the group ignored lockdown rules and blasted loud music from a sound system on the field until early hours. A party reportedly started on Saturday, then another group gathered again on Sunday with the music not stopping until 2am this morning (Monday).

This morning, locals headed down to the field and cleared away some of the rubbish. Laughing gas canisters, discarded bottles and litter was left strewn across the grass.
