Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has admitted that he can't go one day without having a drink. The Good Morning Britain host, 55, has turned to booze in order to kill boredom while being cooped up inside amid the coronavirus lockdown.

While his co-star Susanna Reid insisted that she hasn't touched a drop of alcohol throughout the entire pandemic, Piers admitted that he couldn't imagine a day without a glass of wine.

After the brunette beauty confessed that she is a new found teetotal, Piers slammed her decision not to indulge in a glass of bubbly.

The Good Morning Britain host exclaimed that 'the days are too long' for him not to have an alcoholic beverage or two. "I probably have a couple of glasses of wine a night.
