A young woman has died after police were called to reports of a concern for her welfare. An air ambulance was sent to the incident in Atherton alongside other emergency services this morning (October 9).
North West Ambulance Service said it was called to an address on Oxford Road following a call at 11.25am but didn't take the patient to hospital.
Greater Manchester Police arrived at the scene at around 11.40am. The woman, who was in her 20s, was pronounced dead shortly after. However, enquiries are ongoing. A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 11.40am today (9 October), we responded to reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman on Oxford Road, Atherton.
