Bishops sent death threats for speaking out over Dominic Cummings lockdown breach

Senior Church of England bishops have been sent hate mail and death threats after speaking out about Dominic Cummings' alleged breach of lockdown rules.

John Inge, Bishop of Worcester, tweeted he received an email warning "stay out of politics or we'll kill you" after he criticised Boris Johnson's defence of Mr Cummings on Sunday night, the Daily Record reports.

He added: "For me the whole Cummings drama is not about politics but life and death. If trust in Government guidance is eroded we’ll have a second spike and 1000s of lives will be lost."
