America’s Got Talent finalist Grandma Lee has sadly passed away months after suffering a broken hip following a fall. The Oklahoma born comedian was aged 85 when she died at her care home in Jacksonville, Florida, on Friday, her family said.
Grandma Lee, whose real name was Francis Lee Strong, delighted then-AGT judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff when she featured on the long-running talent show way back in 2009.
TMZ reports that the contestant, who made it all the way to the live final rounds of the fourth season, was still performing until November last year.
