Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan, 55, took the opportunity to pay tribute to Good Morning Britain guest Jack Reynolds, who has died at the age of 108.

Jack impressed viewers when he appeared on the ITV show after getting his first ever tattoo aged 104.He then went on to appear in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks just last year after being a guest on the programme alongside Piers and his co-host Susanna Reid.It has not been confirmed whether Jack’s death was linked to the coronavirus pandemic, as he was reported to have died from pneumonia.Piers, Susanna and Dr Hilary Jones paid a moving tribute to “Britain’s oldest daredevil” this morning following his death on Saturday.Piers said: "He moved all of us, he inspired all of us, he was a great man."The journalist added:.
