Ben Shephard gives emotional update on Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper as he battles coronavirus
Ben Shephard has given an update on his pal Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper, who continues to battle the coronavirus. After watching a sweet video of a woman, who had suffered from the deadly bug, reunite with her family outside of the hospital, Ben said on Good Morning Britain: "That moment when you can finally touch your loved one [after they've been] a ventilator." The 45 year old's co-host Ranvir Singh, 42, replied: "Families who have gone through this -– it's not a case of go in and you'll get better soon, you go in and, 'I don't know, I don't know'." Ben, who recently announced he has family members who are "very ill" with covid-19, added: "And 'I can't be there'." The TV presenter later addressed what the entire nation waits on.
