Prime Minister Boris Johnson was given oxygen treatment after being hospitalised for coronavirus yesterday, reports claim. The Times reports that the PM was treated after being rushed to hospital suffering with persistent Covid-19 symptoms.

He is being treated at St Thomas' Hospital in Waterloo, central London. It is believed that he had a high fever, and was admitted to the NHS hospital on the advice of his doctor.

Johnson was taken to hospital on Sunday, 10 days after he started self-isolating. Last month, Johnson tested positive for coronavirus, becoming the first world leader confirmed to have the disease.

Despite his illness, a senior minister has insisted that the PM is still fit enough to lead the country from his hospital bed.
