Boris Johnson has been catching up with his favourite films as he recovers from coronavirus, according to reports. The Prime Minister, 55, is said to have watched Love Actually for the first time while recuperating from his illness, after he left intensive care on Thursday.

A No 10 spokesman confirmed yesterday that Mr Johnson is now back on a ward at St Thomas' Hospital in London and "in very good spirits".

He is said to be in the "early stage" of recovery and able to take short walks, although he remains under the close supervision of medics.

The Sun reports that the Prime Minister has been using his time off to re-watch his favourite films, which include Withnail and I and JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. Follow the latest
