The UK's coronavirus lockdown will continue unchanged for the time being, the government has announced. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab warned that the UK is still not past the peak of the pandemic and that the social distancing measures will continue indefinitely.
Speaking from 10 Downing Street, he said that there were some "positive signs" from the data that shows "we are starting to win this struggle" but warned: "We are still not past the peak." Raab went on: "Our plan is working.
Please stick with it and we'll get through this crisis together." It comes as the UK's coronavirus death toll is now more than 11,000 after 717 more patients died.
