Boris Johnson leaves hospital but 'won't be immediately returning to work'

Boris Johnson has been discharged from hospital after battling coronavirus in intensive care. The PM, 55, was rushed to London's St Thomas' Hospital last Sunday – ten days after first testing positive for the virus.

He will continue his recovery at his country residence Chequers – with aides under strict instructions to not let him work. A Downing Street spokesman said: "On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work.
