Boris Johnson has thanked 'life-saving' NHS staff who treated him for coronavirus in a personal video message after leaving hospital.
The prime minister said there was 'no question' that the NHS had saved his life after he was admitted to St Thomas' hospital in London at the end of last week.
In a video message posted on social media, Mr Johnson personally thanked the nurses that looked after him as he struggled to 'find the words' to express his gratitude.
He said he had personally 'seen the pressure the NHS is under' and 'the personal courage' of everyone working at the hospital. “It is thanks to that courage, that devotion, that duty and that love that our NHS has been unbeatable,” he said.
