Boris Johnson is still in charge despite spending the night in hospital, a cabinet minister has said. The prime minister was admitted to hospital for tests in London last night after he continued to suffer from coronavirus symptoms 10 days after his diagnosis.

Communities secretary Robert Jenrick has said he expects Mr Johnson to be back at Number 10 'shortly' and insisted he was still 'very much in charge of the government'.
