England's theme parks, funfairs and outdoor playgrounds have been given the green light to reopen from July 4, just in time for summer.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the announcement as he confirmed the Government is relaxing the two-metre social distancing rule to "one metre plus" in England.
As he revealed the next steps towards easing the coronavirus lockdown, he confirmed theme and adventure parks can welcome visitors again with a number of strict measures in addition to the "one metre plus" rule, but water parks must stay closed "for now".
It is likely to be welcome news for England's theme parks which have been forced to stay shut through spring and the opening of the busy summer season.
