Brits eat more fruit and veg in lockdown – and they're more adventurous with food too

Millions of Brits are eating more fruit and vegetables during lockdown. A poll of 2,000 adults found a fifth of those stuck at home have been working hard to get their five-a-day now than they did previously.

And many are being more adventurous with their choices. A sizeable 61% of participants are interested in trying more exotic fruit and veg options.

What’s more, 58% want to learn more about different healthy products on the market. This is probably why many are close to getting their five-a-day, with the average adult munching around four different varieties of fruit and veg per day.

The OnePoll survey was commissioned by Uber Eats, which is working in partnership with New Covent Garden Market to launch a trial of fresh produce
