Brits flying into Germany were made to quarantine in a terminal until they tested negative for Covid-19, it has been reported.
Airport officials in Hanover set up campbeds for 63 people after a plane from the UK landed in the north German city. Nurses in hazmat suits screened passengers, who were told they had to hunker down for the night in the terminal before being allowed to leave this morning.
One passenger, Manuela Thomys, said they were "being held against (their) will". "Please help us leave!" Thomys said in a video published by Bild.
The clip showed a nine-month-old baby among the stranded passengers. Similar scenes unfolded in Berlin, where 77 people who had flown from the UK were awaiting coronavirus test results this morning.
