Brits over 70 may have to stay in lockdown until 2021 according to reports. Pensioners might have to remain in self isolation until a vaccine against coronavirus is developed, a senior Conservative has warned.
Under current lockdown rules, people should only leave the house for essential shopping, once a day for exercise or to work if they can’t do so from home.
Last week, the Government extended Britain’s coronavirus lockdown for another three weeks. But there are fears the restrictions may have to be extended further for the over-70s, with elderly people known to be far more vulnerable to the virus.
