'Citadel' Season 2 Cast Update: Matt Berry & Gabriel Leone Join Prime Video Series

Citadel is pulling together a cast for its second season! The Prime Video series debuted in 2023 starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden and was renewed earlier this year.

On Friday (August 2), we learned that two stars had signed on to join the project – Matt Berry and Gabriel Leone. Keep reading to find out more… Deadline reported on the cast additions, noting that both would be recurring characters.

No other details have been revealed yet. Fans will recognize Matt from What We Do in the Shadows, where he plays Laszlo Cravensworth. Gabriel recently shared the screen with Adam Driver in Ferrari.

It has already been confirmed that three actors from the first season of Citadel will return for another season of the show.

Interpol are back at work in the studio according to a new report, and drummer Sam Fogarino is getting back to playing following his recovery from spinal surgery.Fogarino was forced to sit out the band’s 2024 ‘Antics’ 20th anniversary UK and European tour following his operation.“As you may know,” he wrote on social media, “last year, I had to undergo spinal surgery, which resulted in me having to miss Interpol tour dates.”He continued: “While the surgery and recovery has been successful, thus far, unfortunately I’m dealing with continued health issues – and will have to stay off the road for the time being.”Now, according to a new report from his reps (as per Rolling Stone), his recovery is progressing well.The band’s reps said Fogarino was “recovering from his back surgery, getting back to drumming as seen on his IG, and working closely with the rest of the band and Matador on ‘Antics’ assets”They also went on to reveal that he was “writing with the other band members for the next album”, which will follow on from 2022’s ‘The Other Side Of Make-Believe’.A post shared by Samuel Fogarino (@fogonthefloor)The indie veterans have announced plans to play their second LP in full across the UK in November, including stops in Manchester, Glasgow, London and more.Now, they will wrap up their anniversary shows at Dublin’s 3Arena on November 10.
