Cocaine dealers triple prices as users feel 'every day is a weekend'

Across the UK, people trapped in lockdown are drinking more and in some cases taking more drugs. One former addict says she fears that a “fresh epidemic” could follow the coronavirus pandemic, with people who had previously been moderate drug users tipping over into into full addiction.

And Britain’s cocaine dealers are responding to the increased demand by tripling the prices. With many of the most commonly-used smuggling routes into the country closed down the suppliers are facing higher costs too.
