Pets should be kept inside if their owners are self isolating with coronavirus symptoms, a charity has warned. Experts say there is still no evidence that pets such as dogs and cats are a source of infection to other animals or humans, although there are other coronaviruses that have been in the UK for years, such as respiratory infections in dogs.
