Man who can 'talk for England' offering to call lonely people during lockdown

A man who says he ‘can talk for England’ is offering to keep people company during the coronavirus crisis. People have been told to stay at home, cancel unnecessary trips and avoid large gatherings by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

For many – particularly the elderly – this means long, lonely days for what may be months until the crisis is under control.

But Samuel Dwyer, who lives in Lincolnshire, says he will step in to keep people company in their time of need and chat with them on the phone whenever they want.
