A Cabinet minister has warned that the UK could face a tighter lockdown if people don't follow new guidance to stay at home wherever possible.
On Friday, Boris Johnson announced the closure of pubs, restaurants and gyms in a bid to get people to stay home. He warned that people who ignored the advice risked "fatal consequences" and on Saturday doubled down on the advice asking people not to visit their mothers on Mother's Day.
But today Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick suggested that the the UK could follow other countries in Europe by enforcing a lockdown on the population if the advice wasn't followed.
But if the advice is followed Mr Jenrick insists that Brits will be able to "turn the tide" on coronavirus. He told Sky's Sophie
