Channel 4 announces new show that will see a couple get married online after coronavirus lockdown

Since the coronavirus pandemic hit the UK shores, many lives across the nation have been turned upside down. And, after Boris Johnson’s announcement on Monday 23 March, residents across the country have been forced to put their near-future plans on hold, with birthdays, weddings and other large gatherings cancelled to attempt to stunt the growth of covid-19 cases across the UK.

But, for one lucky couple, their nuptials will still go ahead, with the help of Channel 4 and the internet. Lockdown Wedding Live is answering the prayers of one couple, who’s wedding day plans were scrapped after the pandemic caused a lockdown in the UK, banning people across the country from going out unless it is for essential work, exercise or food shopping.
