A woman at the centre of a housing repair wrangle says her battle with the council is affecting her health.Elizabeth Gough claims her flat in Johnstone’s Houston Square has been wrecked by water ingress. It has caused damp patches, mould and mildew to appear on the walls throughout her two-bed flat. The flat above Elizabeth’s is council owned, which she says is the source of the problem. And the pensioner, 72, who is an owner occupier, revealed how she’s fought a long standing battle with the local authority to help address the issues.
But she fears she’ll be hit with a fresh set-back- as every owner occupier in the block could face a massive repair bill to fix the roof of the entire building. She said: “I’m on anti-depressants, I can’t cope with another four years of this.
