Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality.
Trump was born and raised in Queens, a borough of New York City, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series, from 2003 to 2015. As of 2019, Forbes estimated his net worth to be $3.1 billion

Donald Trump has said he is taking a malaria drug to protect against coronavirus, despite warnings from his own government that it should only be administered for Covid-19 in a hospital or research setting due to potentially fatal side effects.
The president told reporters he has been taking hydroxychloroquine and a zinc supplement daily "for about a week and a half now".
He spent weeks pushing the drug as a potential cure for Covid-19 - against the advice of many of his administration's top medical professionals.
The drug has the potential to cause significant side effects in some patients and has not been shown to combat coronavirus. Mr Trump said his doctor did not recommend the drug to him but he requested it from the White House
