Big-hearted brothers Cooper and Woody Mechan have a mountain to climb in their quest to raise cash for healthcare heroes.The pair came up with the idea of climbing the equivalent of Ben Nevis on the stairs at their home in Eastriggs.They need to climb 8,810 steps to achieve their goal and they want to conquer the task in just a few days.Cooper, 10, and eight-year-old Woody are hoping to raise £250 for the NHS.Proud mum Emma, 32, said: “They wanted to do something to help during the Covid-19 crisis and, as they do a lot of hill walking with me and their dad Chris, they thought this would be a great thing to do from home.
