Escape to the Country's Denise Nurse shares pic of rarely-seen husband and son amid devastating 'challenge'
Escape to the Country star Denise Nurse had shared a rare photograph of her husband and son, after they embarked on a "personal challenge".The TV star explained the emotional reason behind the challenge, as well as rare glimpse into her family life.
Denise, 48, who is also a lawyer and entrepreneur, tends to keep her private life out of the spotlight. Not much is known about her husband or son, but it is understood she married in 2015.
In a touching Instagram post shared in late June, Denise posted a sweet snap of her beloved husband and son. She revealed they'd walked nearly 20km from their family home to to Charing Cross, with Denise proudly meeting them at the finish line.
What initially began as a "personal challenge" eventually became a means for fundraising, with Denise's son asking if he could raise money for Shooting Star Hospice - a charity local to the family who support children and their families with life limiting conditions. "Proud Mum Alert," Denise penned. "Yesterday my son and husband decided to walk almost 20k from our home to Charing Cross (the marker where distances to London are set from).They initially decided to do it just as a personal challenge.Then my son asked if he could raise funds for a charity." She went on to reveal that the walk was completed in around four hours, with a total of £300 being raised.
