A new trial to trace the spread of coronavirus in Britain is due to begin on the Isle of Wight next week, the government has confirmed.
Cabinet minister Michael Gove announced the measure at the latest Covid-19 briefing at Downing Street on Sunday afternoon. He said the Prime Minister Boris Johnson will offer more detail next week on how Britain will begin returning to work as the number of deaths continues to fall.
Mr Gove also addressed a number of other issues such as easing lockdown restrictions, helping the most vulnerable and providing PPE for the NHS.
It comes as a further 15 people have died in Greater Manchester hospitals having contracted coronavirus. It means the total number of deaths in the county's hospitals now stands at
