With Brits stuck at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, many are making sure they take exercise more. But exercising too much during the coronavirus lockdown can leave you open to injury, while hampering your immune system.
Dr Matthew Jackson, a lecturer in Sport and Health Science at Liverpool Hope University, warns that those who are taking up sports for the first time, or after a long break, have to be mindful about painful injuries.
He’s still encouraging Brits to stay active and healthy during the lockdown, because physical activity can also boost the body’s ability to fight viruses and infections.
He explained: “We don’t want to tell people not to exercise during the crisis – it’s really important that you do. “But if you’re
