Fair City fans ‘devastated’ as final episode of soap airs until filming can resume

Fair City fans were ‘devastated’ after the airing of the last episode of the RTÉ soap recorded before the pandemic caused the cast and crew to cease filming.

Despite scaling back the number of episodes being broadcast each week from four to two, it was inevitable with lockdown ongoing that the show would soon run out of recorded episodes.

The last one in the can aired on Easter Sunday and fans were feeling a bit bereft in the aftermath. Being in isolation is hard, having no #faircity to watch is much worse….
