Harvey Weinstein‘s extradiction to Los Angeles, to face even more counts of sexual assault and rape, has been put on hold for now.
Variety reports that the disgraced producer is still in New York and will remain there for the time being as the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic, which Harvey was reportedly afflicted with. Harvey is facing five charges of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced back in March that they had begun the extradition process, but since the pandemic hit, papers had not been filed for the request. “It’s fair to say that the virus has delayed the processing of the extradition paperwork,” said Los Angeles D.A.
