Ross Adams of the Hollyoaks cast has been resting his voice following some lingering "problems". Better known to soap lovers as Scott Drinkwell, the 41 year old updated his social media fanbase with a picture taken outside hospital this week. "I’ve had some problems with my voice for a while," he revealed. "It’s been worrying me a lot but today I went here and I can finally say that I’m fine.

Just wanted to explain why I’ve been quiet." Next came a selfie with his mum, which was captioned: "My lovely mam came with me for moral support." The last five years have been especially challenging for Ross, who was diagnosed with a form of hypochondria known as 'health anxiety' back in 2018, having convinced himself that he had a tumour on the brain. "I worried I wouldn’t be here in two months.

On Google, I read people with symptoms like mine were dead two weeks later - you start to catastrophise everything. I’ve got the tools to control it now.

I’ve learned that while I’m healthy and happy, it’s good to live in the now rather than worrying what’s ahead," he commented.
