Janey Godley shares health update as cancer scan results leave her emotional

Janey Godley has updated her fans as she finally got the results of her latest cancer scan.She previously admitted she was nervous about the outcome and had been busy sorting out her will.

The 62-year-old comedian was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021 before being given the all-clear after treatment, but it returned this year.

She has since kept her fans updated on her progress and said she had received a 'clear' scan.Announcing the positive news on to her 290k followers alongside a video clip, she wrote: "I have terminal cancer, I will never have the all clear, like millions of people I am living with a life limiting disease but I am receiving treatment and today I got a clear scan - I get scans every three months -thanks @Beatson_Charity and Scottish NHS and thanks to everyone."She continued in the clip posted to Twitter: "I just got the news that the scan is clear so yay!

another three month thank you to everybody who has been sending love, positive feelings and prayers."Janey became emotional as she added: "All their support has been overwhelming, this is how I am going to live my life in three month increments but wow another clear scan, thank you to the Beatson and the NHS for prolonging my life for as long as they can through this cancer treatment" as she crossed her fingers and wiped her eyes.The post has been flooded with support with over 9,000 likes since it was published on her social media as fans rushed to the comments to share the good news with her.One person wrote: "Good news Janey so glad for you," alongside a series of heart emojis as another added: Such good news!!!
