King Charles and the Princess of Wales are both battling cancer, sharing the news within weeks of each other. As they undergo treatment for their unspecified forms of cancer, their close relationship has become increasingly apparent as they support each other through the difficult time.
On Thursday, 21 March, a day before news broke of Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis, Charles is said to have driven to Windsor Castle to have lunch with his daughter-in-law.
It is thought the senior royals spoke about Kate's impending health announcement which reportedly left the monarch feeling "very emotional".
A source told The Sun: "They are very close and he thinks of Catherine as his daughter. There is no doubt there is a lot they can share and can use each other for support during their own deeply personal cancer battle." In January, when they were treated at The London Clinic, a private hospital in Marylebone, Charles is said to have been seen "toddling" from his hospital bed to spend time with Kate following her abdominal surgery.
