Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden, who has bravely faced her own health challenges including Crohn's disease and breast cancer, received an MBE from the King at Buckingham Palace today (18 February).
The Welsh dancer, 34, is being recognised for her incredible fundraising work and for raising awareness about inflammatory bowel disease, something she has battled since childhood.
Amy first opened up about living with Crohn's in 2019 and shared her journey in the BBC documentary 'Strictly Amy: Crohn's And Me'.
Despite suffering from symptoms like diarrhoea, stomach pains, fatigue, and weight loss, Amy refused to let it stop her from pursuing her passion for dance.
