Michael McIntyre is back on our screens, hosting BBC gameshow The Wheel, which invites some of the most famous faces in the showbiz world to put their knowledge to the test.Public contestants participate in the wheel, where they can win huge cash, with the help and knowledge of relying on celebs for reassurance of the correct answer to secure the money.Whilst Mcintyre has become a huge hit for hosting the show, he's not always been as upbeat and energetic when it comes to his health woes in the past, having been admitted previously for emergency surgery.
In March of last year, the 48-year-old comedian was forced to cancel some of his stand up gigs after undergoing an operation for kidney stones.
It couldn't have came at a worse time for the BBC gameshow presenter, who was in the thick of his global tour, having already performed in numerous UK and Ireland venues, as well as in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, the UAE, the USA.Fans rallied around him, offering support and sympathy following the news about his health.
One fan expressed: "Ouch! I had kidney stones a few years ago, more painful than giving birth twice... hoping Michael is on the mend."According to the NHS, kidney stones affect over one in ten people and can be extremely painful, especially larger ones.
