Steven Gerrard returning to Liverpool as their new manager will be inevitable when Jurgen Klopp walks away from the job, according to Jamie Redknapp.

The former Reds captain, who racked up 710 appearances for the club, ventured into management with Rangers in the summer of 2018.

He has enjoyed a decent start to life in the dugout, pushing Celtic close in the Scottish Premiership title race last season and reaching the Europa League last 16 this term before football was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
