Jason Manford has praised staff at Manchester Opera House after a medical emergency stopped the show at the theatre last night.
Ambulances were pictured outside the Quay Street theatre on Saturday night (December 21) after the production of Cinderella was halted for around 45 minutes.
Manford, who is currently playing Prince Charming took to X after the show to send his best to the person who was taken unwell and praise the Opera House's staff. "She was a difficult night with the medical emergency but front of house staff & paramedics dealt with it so well," he wrote. "Thoughts are with the poorly person, hope you’re on the mend." Manford also thanked the crowd for their patience, adding: "Thanks to great crowd for sticking with us after 45 minutes of silence!" Those in the audience echoed his message on X, with one writing: "Brilliant panto tonight as always this amazing cast always deliver despite the medical emergency the show continued and never disappoints.
