Piers Morgan has said that friend and colleague Kate Garraway is given "huge hope" by hearing stories from those who have survived coronavirus.

Kate's husband Derek Draper has been in ICU for seven weeks after contracting coronavirus. He is understood to still be in an unresponsive critical condition but Kate, 55, said that he is "fighting for his life".

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Piers had been speaking to coronavirus survivor Jo Tillbrook and her husband Clive.

Clive had been told to "prepare for the worst" by doctors, who feared that Jo wouldn't be able to recover. Despite the odds, Jo survived and the couple spoke to Piers and Susanna Reid on the ITV programme.
